There’s no doubt that Prescott Lakes has some of the best homes for sale… But, what about Prescott Lakes as a choice for someone who is thinking about moving to Arizona? Well, if you like beautiful homes with wonderful amenities than you really should look into the Prescott Lakes as one of your main options to consider. Prescott Lakes is one of the most popular subdivisions in town and has some of the best on the market today.  Centrally located this subdivision offers it all with proximity to shopping, downtown shops, local restaurants and the areas medical offices hospital. Take into account that Prescott Lakes has arguably the most amenities offered to their residents in the city of Prescott, which also comes with higher HOA fee’s than other areas too. These are all important considerations when you’re choosing this next stage in your life. If you plan to golf, use the pools in the summer, the fitness center and dine at the restaurant a few times here and there, then the community association dues make more sense. However, if you don’t plan to use any of the above-mentioned amenities, then you may be better off in other subdivisions like Southview and Yavapai Hills to name a few.

Prescott Lakes is one of the most desired neighborhoods in town due to a number of reasons. This master-planned residential subdivision is 1150 acres of established communities that are gated and not gated offering private golf and many other prestigious amenities. Residents enjoy walks on paved and non-paved trails for hiking, biking, or just walking through seven Preservation Parks and an abundant amount of natural open spaces that are available. The private golf course is managed by Arnold Palmer Golf Management.  This course has been carefully designed to be challenging to golfers of all skill levels.

Then there’s Astoria at the top of the hill at Prescott Lakes parkway road. This subdivision was made to be a nostalgic architecture that gives a Victorian feel and small town environments re-creating downtown Prescott. What’s nearby to do for fun? 
Located near two man-made reservoirs, ideal for barbecuing, hiking, mountain biking, camping and just exploring with the family for fun. The best locations near this community would be found within the Granite Dells, Watson Lake, Willow Lake and through the Peavine Trail.
Watson Lake is found relatively near Prescott Lakes and is one of two reservoirs within Granite Dells, just outside of Prescott. Watson Lake was created in the early 1900s when the Chino Valley Irrigation District placed a dam on Granite Creek. Back in 1997, Prescott purchased this reservoir and the surrounding land to be used as recreational land.
Granite Dells is also near Prescott Lakes and offers some of the most scenic rocks and trails in the area. Often called ‘The Dells’, this area is mostly known for its large boulders of granite that have eroded into a really cool appearance of bumpy rock features. Both Watson Lake and Willow Lake are small man-made reservoirs found within ‘The Dells’. There are a few hiking trails that even connect to the Peavine Trail.
The Peavine National Recreation Trail is great for anyone who likes to hike and explore. This trail follows the former rail bed of the Santa Fe Prescott to Phoenix railway through the Dells. “Peavine” got its name from the winding portion of this railroad that twists and curves resembling that of a pea vine. The Peavine trail connects to the Iron King Trail which was the route of the old Prescott Railroad through the Granite Dells.
